I am Melissa Ross of Nurturing Soul Birth Services. I am a certified doula (both birth and postpartum) as well as a placenta encapsulator based out of the East Bay, CA. I serve the entire San Francisco Bay Area.

 

Aside from my role as a mother, my role as a doula is one of my most rewarding accomplishments. Birth work is my passion.

 

As a doula I aim to empower, encourage, and support new forming families. I am so lucky to be able to hold space during such a sacred and transformational time in the lives of my clients. 

 

I was certified in 2015 through Cornerstone Doula Trainings. I have recieved specialized training in breastfeeding education and assisting home births. I have also received an extensive apprenticeship where I learned how to provide placenta services. Both my California Food Handlers Card as well as my Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control for Placenta Encapsulators certificate are up to date.
